Privacy & Terms

How Deeni handles your data, and the terms of using it.

Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-09-17Applies to Deeni for iOS and AndroidContact ahmadabusalehhh@gmail.com

Deeni is free, with no ads and no subscriptions, and this policy is short because there isn't much to disclose.

1

What we collect

Deeni does not require an account and does not collect personal information to function.

  • Device location, only to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction, processed on the device.
  • App preferences: language, reminder settings, saved bookmarks, and reading position.
  • Standard, non-identifying technical data collected by Apple and Google as the platform operators.
2

Your location

Location is used only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction for where you are. If location access is off, you can set your city manually instead. Location is processed on the device and is not transmitted to or stored on a server we operate.

3

What we never do

There is no advertising SDK in Deeni, no analytics vendor tracking you across apps, and nothing about your Quran or Hadith reading is logged or sold. Deeni does not require sign-in of any kind.

4

What's stored, and where

Bookmarks, reading progress, and notification preferences live in the app's local storage on your device, and, for Apple's or Google's own account sync features, wherever your device account already syncs app data. None of it passes through a server operated for Deeni.

5

Children

Deeni is a general-audience religious reference and lifestyle app, and does not knowingly collect data from children beyond the technical data described above.

6

Your choices

Notifications, including daily Athkar reminders, can be turned off at any time in your device settings. Location access can be limited or denied, with prayer times falling back to a manually set city. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored locally.

7

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page will move, and for anything material, the app itself will say so.

Terms of Use

The short version: Deeni is free forever, its religious content is offered for study and practice, and it comes with no warranty beyond that.

1

Agreement

Installing or using Deeni means you agree to these terms, and to the standard end-user license agreement of the app store you downloaded it from.

2

Free, with no ads or subscriptions

Deeni is free to use, with no advertisements and no subscription plans. If this ever changes, it will be communicated clearly in the app before any change takes effect.

3

Religious content

The Quran text and audio, Tafsir Al-Saadi, Sahih Bukhari, and the other hadith collections in Deeni are presented for study and daily practice, sourced and reviewed with care. For specific religious rulings, always consult a qualified scholar rather than relying solely on the app.

4

Prayer times and Qibla

Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated using standard astronomical methods and your device's location, and are estimates. If your location is inaccurate or you are in an unusual position (for example, at sea or at high latitude), verify locally before relying on them for religious obligations.

5

Acceptable use

Use Deeni for its intended purpose. Don't redistribute, resell, or repackage the app or its bundled religious content commercially.

6

No warranty

Deeni is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

7

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer of Deeni is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from using or being unable to use the app.

8

Governing terms

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with the applicable app store's standard end-user agreement, are the whole agreement between you and us about using Deeni.
